The Ferrari 308 GTB Berlinetta and targa topped 308 GTS are V8 mid-engined, 2-seater sports cars manufactured by Ferrari from 1975 to 1985. The 308 replaced the Dino 246 GT and GTS in 1975 and was updated as the 328 in 1985.
The 308's body was designed by Pininfarina's Leonardo Fioravanti, who had been responsible for some of Ferrari's most celebrated shapes to date such as the Daytona, the Dino and the Berlinetta Boxer. The 308 used elements of these shapes to create something very much in contrast with the angular GT4. GTS models featured a removable roof panel with grained satin black finish, which could be stowed in a vinyl cover behind the seats when not in use.
The 308 had a tube frame with separate body. The 308 GTB/GTS and GT4 were mechanically similar, and also shared much with the original Dino. The engine was a V8 of a 90 degree configuration, with belt-driven twin overhead camshafts per cylinder bank. It was transversely mounted in unit with the transaxle transmission assembly, which was below and to the rear of the engine's sump. All models used a fully synchromesh 5-speed manual and a clutch-type limited slip differential. Suspension was all-independent, comprising double wishbones, coaxial coil springs and hydraulic dampers, and anti-roll bars on both axles; four wheel vented disc brakes were also fitted. Steering was unassisted rack and pinion.

This originally Hong Kong Autoitalia delivered 1985 308 Quattrovalvole GTS has 7 previous owners on the HK VRD. The1985 production year is the last of line for Ferrari 308 series, presented in Rosso Corsa over Rosso leather interior with a black removable hardtop. The car was sold by Classic Insider to the 6th owner in 2018 and subsequently added to the Classic Insider fleet in 2020. In 2022, the car was once again sold by Classic Insider to the current keeper.
Throughout its life it has always been serviced and maintained, there's a history file that dates back to original delivery year. In 2020, the car was subjected to a body & paint restoration and mechanical overhaul with all major areas of the engine, belts, cooling, body and interior renewed. Since then it has won the 2021 "Best Interior" Award at the Classic Car Club of Hong Kong Concourse Competition. After changing hands in 2022, the original magnesium wheels were refurbished. Further work was commissioned by the current keeper in 2023 for the Air Condition, engine, clutch, fuel system and cooling system. With a fresh MOT and renewed road tax, the car is now ready to enter a new stable

CONDITION REPORT:
Restored. Well-kept and maintained. The exterior was restored and repainted in 2020. Paint and body is still in good condition with just some slight blemish and the original magnesium 308 alloy wheels were restored. The fully original interior is in excellent condition, the seats, dash, carpets and door cards are all in good shape. The radio with cassette tape player is in working order and so is the air conditioner, a rare luxury in any classic Ferrari. Mechanically excellent, engine overhauled, with fuel system, belts, gaskets, clutch, cooling system all being looked after. Fully maintained since new this car is well taken care of. Key, spare key, Owner's Manual, Service Book, tools & jack, car cover all presented.
